The first time we attempted to change our own oil we made a bit of a mess. The hand pump we were using leaked and trying to clean the bilge afterwards was a pain! This time we purchased an oil extractor from West Marine. It worked great, no mess, and simple to use. Hope this helps someone looking to do the same thing.
